Dental Health

We recommend that patients visit the dentist for a checkup and cleaning at least every six months. Some patients may require more frequent visits depending on their dental health needs.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of your smile by altering the color, shape, size, or length of your teeth.

Veneers are ideal for individuals looking to correct issues such as stains, chips, gaps, or misshapen teeth. Suitable candidates should have overall healthy teeth and gums. A consultation with one of our dental professionals can help determine if veneers are right for you.

At Melbourne Smile Boutique, we offer both porcelain and composite resin veneers. Porcelain veneers are known for their durability and resistance to stains, while composite resin veneers are a more cost-effective option that can be applied in a single visit.

With proper care and maintenance, porcelain veneers can last between 10 to 15 years, and composite veneers typically last between 5 to 7 years. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential to extend the lifespan of your veneers.

Porcelain veneers are generally not considered reversible because they involve the removal of a small amount of tooth enamel to accommodate the veneer. Composite veneers are less invasive and may be more easily reversed.

Veneers do not require any special care beyond regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups. However, it is advisable to avoid biting on very hard objects to prevent damaging them.

The cost of veneers varies depending on the type of material used and the number of teeth being treated. We provide transparent pricing details during your consultation so you can make an informed decision.

Some people may experience temporary sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures after getting veneers, but this usually subsides within a few days to a week.

Yes, veneers can sometimes be repaired if they chip or crack. However, in some cases, a new veneer may be necessary.

The process for getting veneers typically requires two visits. The first visit involves preparing the teeth and taking impressions, and the second visit is for fitting and permanently bonding the veneers to your teeth.

If you have more questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact Melbourne Smile Boutique. We’re here to help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted!
